Genuine ingredients and great care over everything that goes into a dish are the two fundamental pillars of our restaurant’s cuisine
The idea is to reproduce traditional recipes, to evoke memories for those who have tried them before and to amaze the palates of new visitors, who with fall in love with our mountain cuisine one mouthful at a time.
If you have yet to discover these traditional flavours, in our restaurant you will find typical dishes from days gone by, such as pizzocheri, sciatt and the famous polenta taragna. But we also have bresaola and venison salmì - these are strong flavours, but represent the soul of Livigno.
We are particularly attentive to people with coeliac disease, who require a menu organised and considered in the most minute detail, in order to guarantee great taste in every dish. Although demand for gluten-free meals is constantly growing, it can still be difficult to find a restaurant with a dedicated menu. Mont Chalet Nevada is a member of the AIC (Italian Coeliac Association) and guarantees a gluten-free diet for every guest who requires it. Even among the gluten-free dishes, you can find pizzocheri, lasagne in Bolognese sauce, farmhouse pies, polenta taragna, sausage, venison salmì and apple strudel. A complete meal from starter through to dessert.
Our challenge
Keeping all our guests happy is a significant challenge, and this is why our restaurant also prepares vegetarian dishes, always designed to remain faithful to the original taste. Naturally, lunch and dinner are prepared with love of the cuisine and respect for the typical produce of Livigno, but then so is breakfast. You can choose between a classic or continental breakfast, and of course a gluten-free breakfast. Among the many dishes on the buffet you can find: pastries, coffee, tea, biscuits, cakes, yoghurt, eggs, cheese and cured meats. Everyone has their own favourite meal for starting the day the right way and with the proper energy.
The hotel is really well looked after and the staff are kind and helpful. The rooms are clean and well furnished. Breakfast is hearty with a nice variety of gluten-free products as well. Dinner is good too. Certainly recommended.
