In summer you can revel in our pine woods, walking through pastures and glades: at this time of year the plant life is vibrant, and you will experience unforgettable days immersed in nature.

What activities does Livigno offer in summer?

If you love cycling or mountain biking, you absolutely must not miss Italy’s number-one bike park: five freeride and downhill tracks await you, with varying lengths and difficulty levels from beginner to expert.

If you prefer walking and taking trips, there are organised tours with the best mountain guides around. Another visit not to miss is to Stelvio National Park, the largest of Italy’s historical parks.

If you are looking for something more thrilling, why not try the climbs from 3,000 to 4,000 metres above sea level in the Ortles-Cevedale and Bernina ranges.

Then there is horse riding, summer skiing in Europe’s largest skiing area (Stelvio 2760 m - Livrio 3400 m), not to forget the famous red Bernina Express scenic train that runs from Tirano to San Moritz. Without the help of (rack) gear wheels it overcomes a maximum gradient of more than 70%.

In the winter months, the character of our landscape changes, dressing itself in white. The snow covers mountains, valleys and villages; temperatures drop, but our land does not sleep, rather its activities carry on as usual.

What is there to do in Livigno in winter?

This is the land of skiing: here over 115 kilometres of pistes await skiers of all levels. The cross-country skiing routes are found right in front of our hotel.

You can spend intense, fun days out in the two large snow parks in the area: Carosello 3000 (located at 1242/G Via Saroch) and Mottolino (at 473 Via Bondi).

Do you love walking in winter? Here you can hike on snow as much as you like, with snowshoes and walking staves available for hire.

But that’s not all: Livigno also allows you to experience life in the Arctic. Yes, you read that right: here you can ride trails with sled dogs, as though you were in the wilds of Alaska! At Arnoga, close to Livigno, you can go dog sledding at the Husky Village centre.
